For 34 years I was blessed with the opportunity to teach and coach
at Corinth Central school in upstate New York. Utilizing my
passion for history and competitive instincts I was able to touch
the lives of thousands of student/athletes.
During my years as a teacher and coach I was fortunate to listen to
numerous guest speakers. Many were famous authors, athletes, actors,
coaches, policemen, and even politicians. Most of them did a great job
but there is one thing they all lacked, which I will bring to your
school! I worked in the trenches with kids for 35 years. During this
time I was able to motivate students to score higher on tests, run
faster, play better defense, and become better people than they believed
possible.
There is no secret to motivation. You must establish expectations,
and believe in the kids until they are able to believe in themselves. I
realize I can't inspire every one of your students, but you'll forgive
me if I try!!!
I welcome the opportunity to come to you school and speak to the most
valuable resource any community could possibly have, its youth!
If I can get one student in your school to not smoke, do drugs or
waste their talents then it will be worth every penny you invested in me
and the many hours I have spent preparing my speech!
